Decay Creative
Modern Creative is a jazz style, which takes up the stylistic variety decaying of the jazz contemporarily. He is seen as advancement of the Free jazz and resulted from the diverse musical means, which are accessible to the musicians today. Many jazz musicians developed from it different however personal  Improvisation languages. So they can be expressed in the different contemporary jazz styles improvisatorisch. Musicians such as Paul Bley, James Carter or Michael of moorlands one can add to decaying Creative jazz.
World jazz and/or Ethno jazz
Differently than earlier meetings of jazz musicians with musicians of other music cultures, with which exotic topics were treated with means of the jazz Stilistik, connections developed more non-west of jazz with „“music starting from the 1970's, in which the jazz character was reset in favor of a equal exchange and the effort around actual fusion (e.g. in the groups of Shakti or Codona). Neotraditionalismus
Supporters „of the Neotraditionalismus “reject the developments of the Free jazz and the jazz fusion as the nature of the jazz contradicting and regard the elements Blues and swing as indispensable components of jazz. The so-called „Neobop “- a current form of a jazz tradition derived from the Bebop and Hardbop - forms a substantial part of the Neotraditionalismus, which extends however far beyond it: on the one hand by a back purchase to older styles (Louis Armstrong serves than important point of reference), on the other hand by a strong influence of the so-called modalen jazz (the model of the Miles Davis Quintette is pervasive). In the foreground of the public attention of this movement Trompeter Wynton Marsalis stands.
Neoklassizismus
The expression „Neoklassizismus “is used for the designation of a style direction, which represents both the logical consequence and the break with the Free jazz. It followed from the “gesture of the long improvisatorischen free flight”, however the aesthetics up of the avant-garde gave. Nu jazz
Nu jazz (occasionally also called Electro jazz) is a direction of the electronic music of the late 1990er and of the 2000er-Jahre.
